Toraz in Southsea was excellent. The steak was amazing, cooked perfectly, and the sides were really tasty too. What really made the visit stand out even more was the service. We arrived as a group of six without a reservation on 2 May and, when we started ordering, somehow managed to keep asking for things that had not been delivered by their supplier, which clearly was not the restaurant’s fault. The guy who looked after us, who I think was called Joe, handled it brilliantly. He smoothed everything over with a laugh and a joke, kept the mood light, dealt with our banter about the missing pr

Do Read for an honest review.. Overall, the only reason we go to a steak house is for the steak and perhaps the wine. So I started with calamari, rather large and came with sale which was relatively random, not my first choice for this dish here. The wine was relatively alright, I prefer something stronger than the red I had, perhaps a USA Zinfandel but who can cater for everyone. I had a malbec.. Tasted like a 13% but not full bodied. Bread with garlic butter was ok, the butter clearly wasn't made fresh.. Lack of herbs, garlic and freshness, but still tasted OK. Now - the Steak. Ribeye,

Food is great! Overall experience definitely can be better. I ordered via JustEat and after 20-30 min waiting Rancho cancelled my order. On Friday evening at 6pm! I was being refunded, without food or a note and quite upset. They change setting quite quickly on Just eat to not taking orders just now. Then I noticed Express Rancho option. That is how I got my order, and also different from initial carefully selected steak.
