A beautiful spot tucked away, we were lucky to enjoy a shady spot in the garden on a beautiful day which made it perfect. We were disappointed to be told they were closing at 4 (it was a Saturday) having seen opening times to 17:00 on Google Maps. We still had time for a cream tea as planned, and service was warmer after our initial encounter. It's a sweet and very traditional café, the scones were okay and it felt a shame that there weren't any milk alternatives. The location, warmth of service and value makes up for any negatives and we had a lovely time!

A live cafe/restaurant hidden behind a pretty street! Food is lovely and fresh and so is the service. The atmosphere is stunning.. I could sit here for hours reading a book while sipping on my coffee. Definitely a must visit spot in St Albans.

Service was lightning quick, the waitresses were on top of everything and we had tea and scones on our table in less than 5 minutes. We also had Welsh rarebit on toast which was delicious. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Sat outside on a sunny afternoon - thanks for a great lunch
