I’m not usually one to complain, or especially to show my dissatisfaction in person, but this was probably the worst steak I have ever eaten. We ordered 2 Philly steak baguettes, which took 40 minutes to get to us. I ordered mine medium rare and my friends was medium, the meals itself is described as “A baked baguette with tender slices of rump steak, sautéed red onion” - honestly I cannot believe a chef let this leave their kitchen. I have worked in hospitality, and I would be embarrassed to have made this. Firstly the baguette didn’t taste fresh, the steak was like chewing on an old leather

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pub/restaurant. This is our second visit and we had a wonderful meal. We both enjoyed a vegetarian carvery and my son enjoyed a pudding. The prices were reasonable and the carvery plentiful. I ordered 2 full sugar Pepsi’s as we don’t have anything with artificial sweeteners in and the drinks tasted like Pepsi Max. I would definitely recommend the Knot and Plough

I was in the area and remembered this place but hadn't been since back when it first opened. All of the food we ordered was really nice and staff were lovely too, regularly checked on us, took away plates etc asked if food was ok. My only complaints are there isn't enough gravy provided with the pie and chips but that's just personal preference, it didn't ruin it for me. The other thing was with it being a quiet Monday afternoon I did not expect the majority of what we wanted to be showing as out of stock - again this did not ruin it as there was still plenty of other options available. We come here regularly with my Nan who is 96. The staff are always really friendly from the front of house to the wait staff to the carvery chaps. It does make such a big difference and definitely isn't the case in other places we've been to in the past, which is why we keep bringing her! She only drinks warm water and some places charge over £1 for this but it's never a problem here. The food from the menu and the carvery is always good quality. Big thank you from all of us for making her meals out a good experience :)
