Went with my family and kids for lunch. The food was excellent, but it took forever to come out and arrived at different times, which made it tricky with children. A real pity given how good the food was.

COLD YORKSHIRE. BARELY IN THE OVEN POTATOES. MASHED CARROTS? I’m not a baby! Honestly I’m sorry for the scathing intro, but I was so bitterly disappointed by this roast I was left with no choice. The cabbage was by far the best bit. It was all just mediocre even though the chicken was corn fed. Mashed carrots aren’t a thing. Puréed carrots, yes, roughly mashed no. The staff mind you were incredibly sweet. And the Syrah wine was excellent.

We chose to have drinks and our dinner after our Abney Park wedding at The Prince. The food was excellent and the staff were great. The upstairs function room is a lovely space, would recommend anyone else to do the same!

Had the most delicious roast! My husband and I were in stoke newington for the weekend and we stumbled across this hidden wonder. We were sat and looked after by a very charming young man who had great beer recommendations! We then ordered two chickens which were just fantastic. Will be back
