Came here with a few friends to watch a football match. Within five minutes of arriving, my friend, who is a person of colour, was singled out and told he needed to buy a drink immediately or leave. Meanwhile, other customers did not appear to be treated in the same way. Afterwards, I looked through other reviews and noticed similar complaints about how some customers have been treated. Based on our experience, the atmosphere did not feel welcoming or inclusive, and it left a very negative impression. Similar to Nyas review. I experienced the exact same with my three friends. Seems like they don't taking a liking to people of colour.. me and my friend decided to not get a drink straight away, so we sat while the others ordered theirs. Not even two minutes have passed and we're already getting told to leave for not getting a drink. We had been drinking prior so we wanted to pace ourselves. My friends thought the bartender was messing with us so we casually brushed it off the first time, until he came back to us saying it again. Exactly the same experience as others who were treated terribly by the staff. Ridiculously hostile and confrontational barman. Anyone giving this place 5 stars needs to give their head a wobble, it’s not even the best pub on that street, never mind in Stokey. Go to The White Hart for sports instead - miles better pub with a pool table, loads of screens, an outdoor area and staff that are actually sound. Or The Auld Shillelagh for a much better Irish pub with better Guinness, live music and staff that are actually sound. Or The Coach & Horses for a far better atmosphere with no screens, bet
