Visited on Saturday 2nd May 2026. Just excellent. I cannot fault anything (apart from maybe being a bit chilly, but that can't be helped when it's early May, crappy weather and you're on a boat!). The service was superb. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was just out of this world. Seriously good, and amazing portion sizes (a rarity these days). I would go back in a heartbeat.

Long awaited Birthday celebrations. Food was delicious & fresh. Staff were friendly & attentive. Lovely experience from start to finish. Nice touch with the blankets as it can get chilly if the wind is up. The only thing that would have made it extra special to us, is if there was either a crab or lobster Mac n cheese side option on the menu. And we would love to see Lobster Thermadore on the menu as an option at some point. Other than that, yes it's a little pricey but you pay for what you get. We went here for the 1st time in 2012 & hadn't been back until yesterday. Mostly due to the lovistics of getting there & table availability. This is a seasonal restaurant (open April - September,) housed on a man-made raft / barge in the middle of the River Exe. When you manage to book a table, they automatically reserve a return water taxi to get you there. You queue for your booked Puffin Water Taxi at Exmouth Marina. The skippers have a list of the confirmed bookings. You pay them £8 return fare per adult. The boats are easy to board & I saw passengers with walking sticks have no issues get
