For many years, most people in Stratford-upon-Avon will remember me being a regular at Carluccio’s, enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner there on countless occasions. Today, Pauline and I returned to revisit one of my all-time favourites, the Penne Giardiniera, a dish created by Antonio Carluccio himself. I am pleased to say that the wonderful flavour remains as good as I remember. Sadly, what has changed significantly is the overall condition of the restaurant and the level of staffing. Had lunch here but the quality and quantity was just not up to standard. The atmosphere looked tired no A/c on during one of the most hottest day of the year. Some of the tap water served was just lukewarm. I will not be "recommending" or going again, nearby restaurants and pubs charging the same or lower found better experience.
