We visited Peninsular Cantonese Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. It’s a warm, family-run place, and the whole team is polite and genuinely welcoming—they really make you feel at home. Special thanks to Carson. He explained everything clearly, made sure we were comfortable, and even gave us a few small tastings to try. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. It was also my first time trying duck with orange sauce, and it was absolutely delicious.

We first tried a takeaway order with this restaurant on Chinese new year and were very much impressed with the food so my husband and I decided to try dining in and we were definitely not disappointed. We loved the atmosphere and felt how authentic this Chinese restaurant was. Food still amazing and met our expectations. Wonderful service too. Will definitely come back again. Glad to finally find a decent Chinese restaurant close to our home ❤️

saw great reviews but not our experience. It is like eating in takeaway shop food. food is not as fresh as you want comparing to food in Birmingham Chinatown. food presentation is poor for a restaurant. hot pot is not presented in hot pot but a white bowl. background music is so loud like in hospital environment. only nice food is their tofu. the rest are so so. entrance to the car park is not easy to see at night.

Celebrated my mother's 80th - 16 guests - very bad experience - very disappointing - food very poor- worse than takeaway standard- very bland - very expensive- no itemised bill - overcharged - Carol VERY rude when trying to find out what all the charges were for - scraps of paper with charges on - was unable to clarify what we were being charged for - x2 family members unwell the day after and both ate same meal - drinks very overpriced , working out to £12 a pint - service charged added to bill, refused to remove , was not optional , so added another £ 73 to bill - most people had set menu at
