We have been to multiple events over the years at 1840. Halloween, vegan, Christmas dinner. Never disappoints. Cannot fault the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff. Love that it is family run. Price reflects the quality, so whilst dishes may seem high, I'd rather save my pennies and eat here a few times a year than go frequently somewhere else. The events are well priced and always well thought out and presented. Make sure you book. Photos are of various meals. We recommend to all our friends and family.

Quite disappointing I’ve had heard good reviews, but sadly my review isn’t so good. The one wine we had wanted, they didn’t have a bit of replaced with a different one, which wasn’t very full body at all. The sticky brisket for starter was very nice but it was a bit dry and the barbecue/teriyaki sauce that was with it was nice and leaving you wanting more. We were treated to some focaccia bread with some lemon and chive butter. The focaccia bread was very nice. As the main meal arrived that’s when it went downhill drastically.
