We went as a group of five for lunch before visiting Rouken Glen Park. At first, we were given a table for four, which was clearly cramped but still manageable. While looking through the menu, I noticed food residue on the side of the table, and some of it stuck to my fingers. It was quite unpleasant. There were also small traces of sauce on the menu. We asked to move to a bigger, cleaner table. The full breakfast was average overall, with a modest presentation and a portion size that felt a little underwhelming for a full breakfast. Visited this morning for breakfast before heading back to the North East. Staff were lovely, great menu choice and food was delicious 😋 It's great to see that the café is also doggy friendly with some doggy choices on the menu too🐾

Lovely first visit here for a birthday brunch. We were a bit concerned that we couldn't book a table for 4 (bookings for 6+ only apparently), but we had no issue getting a table. Good range of dishes on the menu at reasonable prices.. We had 2 full breakfasts & 2 of the vegetarian haggis hash...all lovely & not a word of complaint from any of us. Lovely surroundings & good service. A pleasant experience all round.
