We enjoyed a family get together at the red lion. Just a suggestion, but don't order the specials, or the apple pie. Smallest piece of apple pie I've ever been served in a restaurant! For the price charged they are definitely not worth it. Other meals we had at our table were fine and seemed like good value for money.

The food was delicious. Proper cooked food, Not processed. Great portion sizes. Good value for money. I had chicken pie. Light fluffy pastry with big chunks of chicken. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and calm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had our wedding on the 23rd of May at the Red Lion. From the very first phone call from Graham I felt comfortable and at ease. He listened he gave suggestions and his due diligence was Second to none. Every time we had a meeting he made notes so nothing was forgotten or left to chance. On the day we had 42 people for a sitdown dinner which was absolutely perfect. Everybody complimented the food and as the evening progressed the bar was closed to the public at 6:30 and we had approximately 50 more guests turn up. There was an evening buffet and the disco.
