Located next to a chain coffee shop that it easily outclasses, Mattina is an elegant café well placed to serve Media City and Lowry Outlet visitors alike. My friend and I arrived at ~11 on a Saturday morning, luckily bagging a table just before the crowds of Christmas shoppers descended. The brunch menu offers some familiar names with an Italian twist (e.g. Eggs in Purgatorio) alongside some intriguing options. I went for Michelangelo's Eggs: Eggs Florentine served with cavolo nero, which works so well in place of spinach on the fluffy ciabatta! My fungi-loving friend ordered the Wakey Wakey

This has become my go-to breakfast/brunch spot, can’t recommend it enough! Great vibes and a fantastic location in the heart of MediaCity. The food is consistently 10/10. This time we had the Nduja Eggs, and I tried the L’Orto, which I believe is a new vegan option – roasted courgette and artichokes, sott’olio cherry tomatoes with crushed hazelnuts. It’s genuinely one of the best vegan brunch dishes I’ve had. the hazelnuts add a brilliant depth of flavour. I’d recommend it even if you’re not vegan. Plenty of drink options too. Came with my friends for brunch today, was such a lovely atmosphere. The food was insane, got the pumpkin prosciutto and burrata sourdough and it was so good! The staff were so lovely and the prices were brilliant. We even stopped to get another coffee on our way out. Was even treated with a free cannoli! 10000% recommend 💕💕💕
