We’ve popped in here quite a few times now and the place always has this warm, easy atmosphere that pulls you in. Service drifts a little slow every now and then, though to be honest it makes sense because the place stays packed. The food keeps winning me over. Everything has that comforting, well-made feel and the portions lean generous. The soup with the sourdough is something I always end up recommending to people. The truffle chicken panini has become one of those dishes I find myself craving. There’s usually parking along the high street, which makes getting here a bit easier.

Was recommended by one of the residents of Wanstead to this amazing cafe and can’t thank her enough for the recommendation. It has indoor and outdoor seatings and both with good vibes. Food was yummy and smoothies refreshing. Highly recommended salt beef and açaí kick. Staff are friendly and helpful. Shouldn’t miss a visit if you happen to be at the high street of Wanstead.

Great visit to City Place on Friday night. Excellent and very attentive service (really helpful bearded ginger guy, didn’t catch his name) which really made the experience! Food was delicious and such good value - only £29.95 for three courses with a generous sized fillet steak as a main (cooked to perfection). Will definitely return. Nice to see a local business offering something different.
