Food was absolutely delicious, came within good time, very well presented, but also quite spicy. I wish there was less spicy options even though the food is very tasty. Just need to dial down the heat levels. Nasi goreng was perfect though, and I’ve never tasted such buttery and yummy roti like this one. We always wanted to visit Tampopo but never got around to it -- and then within a week we visited twice. So I hope my review is well rounded. Bad news first. The service leaves much to be desired. Exhibit 1: On our first visit, we had booked a table for 4 specifically mentioning the presence of an infant and the requirement for a high chair. They assigned us a space at the bar - not exactly the ideal seating for an infant. They of course moved us to an appropriate table, but it was very cramped. Last night, we had our daughter's birthday dinner there. What a place! Beautiful ambiance, lovely staff, and good vibes. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Maryam, who served us, helped us with ordering since we're vegetarians. We ordered lots of dishes and each one was so delicious; my favorites were the corn fritter and katsu curry. Tampopo was a fantastic experience. The food was incredible and the cocktails fantastic too. However, what stood out to us was the amazing service we had from George. George was great, friendly, attentive without being over bearing and so kind. We visited with our 2 children (age 5 and 10) and George noticed little things to make all of our stays better. Lots of places have great food but not everywhere has people like George - he gets 5 stars just for himself!
