We arrived on a warm Sunday at lunchtime, the choice of a Sunday roast was very tempting but we opted for fish n chips and a Caeser salad with Chicken schnitzel both meals were delicious. I was very impressed with my alcohol free beer, Lucky Saint being on tap, meaning I could have a whole pint. Dogs are welcome downstairs and there is a jar of dog treats on the bar. The pub is named after the deep sea diver William Walker who saved the cathedral. It's definitely worth visiting the cathedral to find out all about why and how this was achieved

It's not only the staff that are cheerful and friendly, they attract a great customer base too. I love a good pie, chips and ale & this pub hasn't let me down. It's dog friendly too; I took my latest foster dog who cannot be left alone at the moment, she's 45kg bull mastiff cross and she was accepted without any judgement, she lay quietly beside our table. This will become my once a month visit.
