Been coming to this chippy for years for my weekly fish and chips. What sets it apart was the takeaway card box boxes where you could bring your fish and chips home and they weren’t soggy as when it’s wrapped in paper. It’s personal preference and I liked that you had a choice unlike other chippies. They now stop doing this and also stop providing tartar sauce which they used to. Unfortunately this is the last time I’m visiting this place as I’m not a fan of fish and chips wrapped in paper and soggy. Real pitty after years of having it a certain way. Will now try other chippies to see if I can

Great portions of food freshly cooked. Staff are always welcoming and working hard. Wait times can be a bit long but thats because everything is cooked to order and the place is busy around 5pm, as in folks are queuing out the door busy. Best chippy in town!

Terrible place and service! Ordered for 5 people and live too far to go back and they didn't put the chips in the bag! Ruined entire meal eating fish without chips. 2 young girls in shop without a clue what they were doing. Attitude on phone disgusting! UPDATE 6-months on and tried again! Got my chips this time but the tiniest portion I've ever had from a chippie! Bad to worse!
