I found Cantley House Hotel quite by chance while looking for a place near Nirvana Spa, where I spent a relaxing day and didn’t want to drive back and forth from London. I stayed for two nights, and what a wonderful find it turned out to be! From the moment I checked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always greeted me with a smile. Really disappointing experience at Cantley House Hotel. I was genuinely looking forward to trying the pizzas and was pleased to see the outdoor pizza oven open again for summer, so this was even more disappointing. The first pizza arrived covered in excessive raw flour and wasn’t cooked properly, so I sent it back. Unfortunately, the replacement was no better — still undercooked with thick patches of flour all over the base (see photos). Had a lovely stay for a wedding. Venue and restaurant were nice. Rooms were big and had some nice features but were in disrepair. We were in a wedding party so barely spent anytime in the rooms anyways. We were a respectful bunch and treated the staff well. We were charged for damages without any explanation. After calling 3 times and 4 emails, we still have not recieved a reason for damage charges. Take pictures of your room's condition upon arrival I guess.
