We loved Mimo’s. We dined on a Saturday afternoon, and our server was accommodating, pleasant, and incredibly helpful even showing me how to properly eat grilled sardines. The space is split into two areas: a bar with soccer on TV and a quiet crowd enjoying drinks, and a separate dining room with soft Portuguese music that sets a relaxed, authentic tone. Drove from Connecticut for a visit stopped at the restaurant order a stake with fries egg and rice . Never but never in my life I ate such a terrible steak in a restaurant asked for medium rare the cook did a decent job when I took a bite it was straight rubber. The service is terrible also . If some of you think this place is good you guys have a some serious problem and not to mention the area looks like a 3rd world country crazy never again . We absolutely love coming to Mimo! We meet family here once a month, and every single visit feels like coming home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. This place was recommended by a few friends so I decided to try it because everyone was raving about the Mozambique. I am now concerned for my friends if they think this place is good. My pork was extremely overcooked to the point of it being inedible. I actually had to switch meals with my husband because it was so bad. His dish wasn't much better. For $21 his steak was small and his side dish was undercooked "round fries."
