They say that Algonquin is the "Gem of the Fox River Valley", but as a huge ASS fan, I would call this sub shop the gem of Algonquin. We've been customers for almost 10 years at this point, and it never disappoints. There's a sandwich for everyone on the menu, and I find even the half size portion to be filling. For food, the quality of ingredients, especially meats & cheeses, puts Algonquin Sub Shop one distinctive notch above the bland corporate drag on Randall. The smoked gouda on my Smoke Stack and the melted cheesy beef was top notch. There's your choice of over twenty types of Italian style subs. At first bite, you can tell the sub rolls are baked fresh daily. There's that true Italian sub crunch of the pickle and lettuce. The subs hit the spot like torpedos.
