Monahan's is always the first place we want to go when heading to Ann Arbor. I'm glad to report that they are shucking oysters again. Mike (the owner) shucked them for us personally. They were fantastic. It was Wednesday and the special of the day was Thai shrimp with rice and Asian slaw. That also was delicious. Crispy fried wild gulf shrimp with a sweet/spicy Thai sauce. What ever you do ALWAYS order the chowder of the day!!!! I don't know what Wednesday's chowder was.....other than chuck full of seafood. That is the best freaking chowder we've ever had!!
