We were the third group in line and ordered quickly, but still waited 15 minutes. To our disbelief, a customer who arrived 5 minutes after us was served the exact same order first. The staff noticed our confusion but just casually asked, "Did you order?" and gave a half-hearted "Sorry." I tried to stay positive, thinking it would be worth it if the food was good, but when I opened the box, I found a hair inside. We drove an hour just for these beignets, but between the dismissive attitude and the lack of cleanliness, it was a total waste of time. I will not be returning.

Beignets and Coffee! Spoon drop! It's been quite some time since I've had beignets at Cafe du Monde so it was quite a delight to have real beignets again. The coffee was brewed weak for me but I'm very picky and I understand they have to brew for the masses. The flow of traffic was easy to navigate in the food truck court and everyone was up on covid protocols. Super nice folks. I'll be stopping in again the next time I'm within a hundred miles.
