Cute place, the food had great Flavor. I stopped for lunch alone and didn’t find the service terribly attentive but pleasant. The food was good, more than I could eat. If you like salty tortilla chips take note theirs appear to be unsalted. The chips are served cold, or mine were— with one salsa and a type of bean sauce. It’s decent and was fairly busy. The Margarita— let’s unpack that, I ordered the Perfect Margarita made with Patron on the rocks. It was very strong, it was decent but I drank maybe a third of it. Sat down and the chips, bean dip and salsa were brought out. We also ordered queso. (Bean dip was sooo good) Ordered medium mango margaritas but they rimmed the glass with salt, should have been sugar! Unique take on it. We ordered flautas, steak tacos, and Quesobarria tacos. Food was bland sadly. I had high hopes but... Service was good but they were shutting the lights off without warning us they were closing. We weren't offered containers for our food, we had to ask multiple times.

El Azteca is good when you’re in the mood for some traditional Mexican food. They’ve got all your standard options and even basic burgers for the picky youngsters. My son gives the cheeseburger high praise 😆 Get a bowl of queso for your chips, totally worth it. El Azteca sets the standard on the Fox Valley area. You won’t be disappointed.

Currently on a taco tour and this is #32 on the tour. We are eating the chips and salsa, lime margarita, steak and chicken tacos on a scale of 1-5. Chips and salsa: The chips and salsa were served with bean dip. The chips were warm, but didn’t have any salt on them. The salsa wasn’t spicy and had a strong cilantro taste (if you like that sort of thing). The bean dip was sweeter but really good and served hot - 4 Lime Margarita on the rocks: They state that they are freshly made margaritas but it was poured from a machine.
