Pecan Square Food is overall good, but the service definitely needs improvement. It took nearly 50 minutes just to get two bottles of wine to our table, which was frustrating. The burger: hands down the best item we tried—delicious and easily the highlight of the menu. The pastas: cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The pizza: lacked flavor and didn’t stand out. The chicken: we didn’t enjoy it at all. The desserts were all very good! Atmosphere:
The restaurant is very loud, making conversation difficult indoors. However, the outside seating area has a nice vibe. Would I go back?

What a gem of a restaurant. Sitting at the counter we had a perfect view of the choreographed operations of the kitchen and got a masterclass in restaurant kitchen operations. Amazing to see all the orders getting cooked in that kitchen. Their wood fired oven is their center of operations and making me thing that I need one too:-). Our seating at the counter also allowed us access to the Chef Chelsea who was such a gracious host and wonderful to speak to. My burger was just awesome. Pecan Square Cafe gives full on adobe western energy with a side of elegance. I got this recommendation from a guy at our hotel pool and he nailed it. Think laid back sophistication and plates that surprised me. I started with a crab salad. It was chunks of cold crab in a white sauce set over green beans. Then, my tile fish came swimming in a zesty white sauce that i perked up for. Our service was very friendly!
