We spent a wonderful evening at Barcelona Wine Bar in the South End and left thoroughly impressed. I've been to this place multiple times and finally decided to write an honest review. I love their tapas and the wide range of wine choices. The tapas were always solid, and my favorite is the beef tongue, which was excellent! The music is loud, so it's a bit hard to talk, but it makes for a great vibe when you're out with friends. However, I can't recommend the seafood paella. The sauce tends to be too tomato-heavy, and the seafood wasn't fresh. Really good food and drinks. We were 4 people and ended up getting drinks, 1 large plate (the paella), and about 7 small tapas and everything was really good. We sat outside as the bar can get loud (we went during Bostons pride parade, that may be why) and it was really lovely. The burrata with the pesto and paella were the favs of the night.

Absolutely loved this place easily some of the best Spanish food I’ve had. The service was warm, especially Ali, who made the whole experience even better. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The seafood paella and the squid ink pasta were both outstanding. Would definitely come back!
