Without a doubt the best chowder you're going to find on the East Coast. I absolutely love this place. I want it anytime. It's slightly cool out or drizzling. The staff is always friendly and make you feel welcome. It reminds me of being in a shanty in northern Maine where you just get high quality chowder, and don't sleep on the other foods. It's absolutely delicious. Currently they're key. Lime pie is out of this world and I'm from Florida.

The Chowder bar is one of my favorite places to go. The food is always good. The spinach salad with warm dressing is delicious. And my favorite go to is the Fishwich. The flounder is so fresh. They have handout sweet pototoe fries. I highly recommend this cozy little spot by the ferries.

What a hidden little gem! Finally got to try this restaurant on Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint! Loved the service and the food equally. But the standout showstopper was their seafood bisque and New England clam chowder! We were stuffed at the end of our meal but we HAD to take some seafood bisque to go. We will be back! We ordered some fried boats, fish & chips and a key lime pie everything was delicious.

I wanted seafood, so before going to a show at the Boulton Center, we chose the Chowder Bar after checking the menu online. We both had Manhattan clam chowder. It was the best I have ever gotten in a restaurant. I ordered the blackened Cajun catfish. It was mildly spiced and perfectly cooked. It came with diced yellow squash and potatoes. Pat had a flounder sandwich, which he said was delicious. The place is homey, the service is very,and the prices are low. I will be back.
