Refunded a chocolate shake at Ritter’s and drove about 5-6 minutes to Jet Freeze, got a better product, and still had $1.50 left over from my refund. A large chocolate shake at Jet Freeze is $5.75 as of June 2026, and at Ritter’s, it’s $7.25. They’re about the same size, but unlike Jet Freeze, Ritter’s will not mix your shake properly and it’ll be really thick ice cream (or custard) at the bottom of your cup with milk puddling on top. On top of that, for the higher price, Ritter’s will not even fill your cup to the top. Jet Freeze is simply better for cheaper. See the photos for comparison.

An authentic old school ice cream shop that doesn’t feel like a cheap parody. The interior is clean and feels down to earth and local. I’ve had the strawberry banana smoothie, which was delicious and full of real fruit chunks, and the soft serve which was super light and very tasty.

Great little ice cream shop. There's a lot of stuff on the menu and I really appreciate that they have some sandwiches and hot dogs. Our ice cream came out really quick and the sizes are pretty generous.

Too often now Jet Freeze either runs out of chocolate ice cream or their machine doesn’t work! It’s ok, Graeters and Stone Cold are right around the corner! Love Jet Freeze and used to wouldn’t try another but the recent/frequent issues are ridiculous! We are done!
