My gf and I came to town for a concert but elected not to eat at the casino. Big mistake by me. First off, More pay to park and no discounts. It was so crammed in there that the staff has to move aside! Used the men’s room that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned on a long time. I looked at the menu and it looked like half of it was crossed off. The food prep guy said it’s the design. I suggested a better design. He didn’t seem to happy. I’d go here when I crave American-style sushi, but I don’t trust them for hot food. The sushi roll I got was quite good and generous especially for the price. However, the clear soup and tentsuyu were severely lacking. In traditional Japanese cuisine, clear soup is considered one of the most important dishes. It’s the measuring stick for the kitchen’s skill and palate: ingredient quality aside, can they properly extract flavors from simple ingredients and balance the ratios? The Other Fish is a hidden gem near Main Street in Bethlehem. We have dined in and had takeout from here many times and are always so happy with the service, ambiance, and everything they offer. Today, we started with the spicy seafood soup, inari with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, and the black truffle tuna appetizer, which were all delicious. We also ordered 4 sushi rolls - spicy lover, snow goose, tracy, and tipper. All were fantastic and left us wanting more!
