Tried Algarve for the 1st time since the new owner took over. Food overall was great, service was debatable. A little frustrating when the server doesn't speak or understand English or Portuguese, but the wine helped us manage. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 I got the Filet Mignon on Special and it was really good. Worst first impressions of a restaurant. Right from the start everything was a disappointment. We have high hopes considering all of the positive reviews, and it failed to meet them even in the slightest. For starters it took 15 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. There is no kids menu at all. Bread was stale. The prices are high end for sure, and sub par food. My husband ordered the Azorean steak well done and it came out medium. Rice was unflavored.
