JC★★★★★This was our first time visiting Boise, and we stopped by this café before hitting the road again. We actually found it through a ChatGPT recommendation, and I’m really glad we decided to give it a try. We ordered the ube latte, and it was fantastic. You could really taste the ube flavor, and it’s very natural (doesn’t taste artificial). It was rich, well-balanced, and easily one of the best specialty lattes I’ve had in a long time. The coffee itself was also excellent, making for a genuinely memorable drink. I could also tell the baristas take their craft seriously. They seemed knowledgeabl
Craig Havlinek★★★★★One of the Top 3 coffee shops ive been to in the world. This statement is purely based on the coffee available and not selection(only two available Roasters at the time). They source from different Roasters from around the world and they were top notch. Pour overs are precise and absolutely delicious. This is not Starbucks and I purely search out pour overs and single origin coffee when I travel.(pics of coffee I bought)
Josh McNeilly★★★★★As a former coffee shop owner and competitive barista, I can safely say that Slow by Slow is hands down the best shop in Idaho, and very competitive with Portland/SF/LA shops as well. They use coffee from the country’s best roasters, companies who largely buy green coffee through direct trade. Their baristas do a great job of preparing these coffees. Finally a shop whose focus is on coffee itself as opposed to all the sweeteners you can put into it. This is a shop to help you fall in love with coffee again or for the first time.
Carmel Breathnach★★★★★I loved this coffee shop in Boise. We were only there for one day but this was our coffee shop stop and we were very glad to have chosen it. What a relief to find that they served Califia oat milk, definitely one of the best oat milks on the market. My latte was hot as I requested, not lukewarm (so common). The downstairs interior was really cool and atmospheric, though it was packed so we ended up sitting outside in the sun. Pleasant service and top quality although price was a bit steep. We were surprised to pay over $8 per coffee.
