Shawarma House is easily one of the best middle eastern dining experiences I’ve had in Milwaukee!! Today especially it’s been a different experience in more better ways than I can explain. Since it’s the holy month of Ramadan they have partnered up with Melrose to have an open buffet during this beautiful month and what they had to offer was a meal fit for a King. From stuffed lamb, to grape leaves, mansaf, samosas, too many salads to list, hummus, baba ghanouj, shawarma of course, fresh fish and shrimp, Maklouba, and much much more. This was my first time trying this meal, and it did not disappoint. It’s a new item on their menu called Bashka, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly baked and soft on the inside with a light crisp on the outside and topped with sesame seeds. The filling was rich and flavorful, with tender chicken, melted cheese, corn, olives, and well-seasoned vegetables. I felt like it was a perfect mix of Arab and Mexican flavors, creating something unique . Fresh, cheesy, and very satisfying, would definitely order it again.

The beef shawarma was good but spicy chicken shawarma was too salty. The falafel was on the sour side. Cheese Sandwich burger was below average. The quality was great earlier but seems is going down with smaller portions and higher price.

We had a wonderful dining experience here. We ordered the Chicken Koobidah plate and the Spicy Chicken Shawarma, and both dishes were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The ambience was inviting and comfortable and the staff provided attentive and friendly service throughout our visit. We’re already looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu.
