Food: 5/5. High quality ingredients and cooked with care. One of the chefs, Alejandro, personally asked if I enjoyed the meal as well. That something I’ve never experienced before. Service: 5/5. I was seated promptly at the bar since I didn’t have a reservation. Server was attentive with the right amount of check ins. Ambience: lively environment. Not too loud, not too quiet. Love the open kitchen. It was entertaining to see the chefs cook up several dishes so quickly yet with so much care. Dishes ordered: 4 formaggi pizza. Pizza was so-so. The four cheese was overwhelmed by the tomato sauce and it was wet in the center. Crust OK. There is much better pizza in Redwood City and San Carlos.

The pizza at Delfina Pizzeria was great, and the arugula salad was equally amazing—super fresh and flavorful! However, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress only checked on us once, and that was when she brought the check. At that point, we asked for butter, but we were told they didn’t have any, which was hard to believe. While the food is definitely worth it, the service could use some improvement.
