Stopped by The Human Bean in Carrollton while I was in the area for business and was pleasantly surprised. The strawberry smoothie was refreshing, delicious, and perfectly balanced. The staff was friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was an absolute delight. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, he has a real passion for coffee and shared some great stories. If you’re near Midway and Trinity Mills, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I feel bad. I was gonna take a photo of the drink before I started drinking it, but I couldn’t wait…

The Human BEAN is the real deal. Cute shop, incredible vibe, and you can tell it’s owned and operated by someone from the Northwest who actually knows coffee. I grabbed a brown sugar shaken espresso with nonfat milk, hazelnut, and a little cinnamon on top — damn good. Smooth, balanced, and way better than the big chains. If you want a spot where the passion shows in every cup, this is it.

I stopped by this coffee shop as a coffee lover to try it out. The staff member I spoke with was pleasant and happy to make a suggestion on my order after telling her what I like. Once I received my frozen type coffee caramel flavored beverage, it was served with a delicately chocolate covered espresso bean on top which I found unique. The beverage tasted good with a mix of the coffee taste and caramel, not overly sweet not overly bitter but even better, gave me that jolt of energy we look for while having coffee.
