I have found many of the smaller burger and custard joints in Cedar Rapids don't know how to season their burgers. I can say Loosie's does not follow that trend. The smash burger is seasoned nicely. The hot dogs look good; my super-picky son had one and asked to come back next week. I will definitely be back.

The loosie meat sandwich meat was VERY dried out. We ordered (3) sandwiches - all 3 were terrible. Usually every time we drive by here we usually order….but not any more. We spent $18 for dried out sandwiches-took two bites and threw them out. You lost a customer.

We went to Loosies today. They are always so pleasant. They greeted us right away. You order at the counter. I love the old diner feel. You can sit at the counter while they make your meal. They are always very willing to strike up a conversation if you are so inclined. These folks are great to chat with. The sandwiches are yummy they do not skimp on the meat or condiments. The pasta salad is very tasty. We finished up with a Cherry malt. When we arrived there were only two seats left but the crowd rotated through quickly. They knew several customers by name. I wanted some amazing mac and cheese today so I headed to Loosies! I was excited to find out their special of the day is a loosie with their mac and cheese on it! The thought of two together as one seemed like a great idea! It was amazing! I was on my lunch break from work so I ate it with a fork and knife but it could probably just be picked up as a normal sandwich. The loosie and its condiments had everything I was looking for in a sandwich and the mac elevated it in every way. The extra mac and cheese was for my little, but he was more interested in running around the restaurant 🤦🏾‍♀️ T
