I recently revisited The Monument Inn after not going for several years, and I’m so glad I decided to spin the block because the experience was excellent from start to finish 🍽️✨ We started with the fried zucchini appetizer served with horseradish ranch and marinara sauce. The zucchini was hot, fresh, and crispy 🤤 and both dipping sauces paired perfectly with it. For my entrée, I ordered the combination platter and chose catfish with a double serving of oysters 🦪🐟 Everything was delicious! I come here often and it’s always top notch. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. The service is the best in the area. It does get busy during lunch time on the weekdays so just be sure that you account for that, but nonetheless, you’re always going to get fresh food and great service. You can never go wrong with the Chicken Fried Steak (I know it’s a seafood restaurant, but trust me, it’s the best), Stuffed Shrimp, Half and Half, or Shrimp Scampi. Basically, everything here is good! One thing to note, when you get that basket, go for the cinnamon rolls and get that butter on there.
