Staying at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel, I was looking for a great custom coffee nearby and Mudhouse delivered. It’s just a short, easy walk from the hotel, which makes it incredibly convenient. The ambience is warm and welcoming—perfect for settling in and getting some work done. The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to customize your drink exactly how you like it. I tried the Golden Latte and it was so good. Such a great find if you’re staying at the Omni and want something a little more local and elevated than your standard coffee stop.

One of my faves in Charlottesville. I’ve always been productive at Mudhouse, whether it’s to read, get work done, or hangout with friends! The coffee is good but sometimes a little too much milk in the lattes, other than that, the specialty and seasonal menu is top tier. Love their maple spice latte!

We were passing through Charlottesville before our tour of Monticello and were looking for a coffee shop with a historic slice of life and charming vibe. We stopped at the right place. Our barista was a coffee connoisseur who educated us on flavor profiles. We're not that picky, so we both had the caramel latte and got some banana bread. The only thing I would say is that it's a little pricey, around $30 for the two of us. However, it was good coffee and a great atmosphere in a great location. This coffee shop has such an inviting yet professional atmosphere. The staff were helpful but not overbearing or pushy. I enjoyed the house vanilla latte. The barista at the counter even gave my wife and I some local recommendations for nearby dinner spots. Definitely stop in if you’re nearby, you won’t be disappointed!
