The food is NOT like what they are in the pictures. They also messed our order up so there is no reason to spend extra on customizing it. The pancakes are made from pennies and taste like them too. The pancakes are heinous. The pasta is great though. Order the pasta if you choose this place. And the cinnamon roll.

I stopped by Corner Bakery Cafe one morning before work to grab breakfast and a coffee, and it was exactly what I needed. The café was clean and welcoming, and my order was prepared quickly even though there was a steady flow of customers. I went with a breakfast sandwich and a latte, and both tasted fresh and well-made. The staff were friendly and patient while I looked over the menu. I've been going to Corner Bakery for breakfast when I'm in Chicago for over 20 years. As usual, I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and filling. There were a bunch of options, and the food came pretty quickly. There were a couple of minor issues with the service, which is why I only gave it four stars. The tables weren't cleaned quickly, so I had to look around for a while to find a clean spot to sit. They didn't have the tea flavor I wanted.
