Nice and busy restaurant at san francisco China town. It was looking for crab noodle and found this. It was full when we arrived for lunch. It is interesting the moment we get in , there are many I believe empty famous and expensive chinese liquor on display. The interior resemble like you are somewhere in China. The menu was not overwhelming and as we came for the crab noodle, we ordered that along with xiao long bao, crispy garlic fish fillet, wonton in chili oil, tan tan noddle, and pan fry dumpling. Incredibly disappointed, I had high expectations after hearing this place marketed as a din tai fung dupe but it was low quality and Americanized/not authentic at all. It felt like more emphasis was placed on presentation rather than taste Crab lo Mein did not taste like crab at all, instead like garlic, sesame oil, and some kind of seafood. The food was honestly amazing very authentic and rich in flavour, I’m honestly surprised at the low rating due to how good it was. The service was also impeccable. Very attentive and kind. The bathrooms was also VERY clean which a lot of restaurants in an America do not care for. So I really appreciated that too!

Nice decor, attentive staff, good selections of different dumplings, noodles and dishes. Interesting and fun presentation of food. The Dan Dan noodles and crispy Chileans sea bass are very good. Cold chili noodles in ice bowl was very creative, it is vegetarian and good flavor. Truffle dumplings is an interesting mix. Good selection of tea, we had the Puer tea was good. Overall a very good experience.
