They look like they dont really care about their job and the presentation of the food was pretty whack the salsa looked thick on the menu online I come over and its straight water the food is definitely good but the sauce to me is what carries the other half of any restaurant I've been to I was expecting good food and salsa and was very disappointed on the salsa part ); food was very good tho they didn't even give us limes on a food that pretty much everyone knows that it goes with lime like wut da hec mane ); kinda skimpy too );

This was our second time going to this place. The food tastes great, but for the price and the portions they give, we won’t be coming back. We ordered three carne en su jugo for takeout, and each one came in a large container but with a very small amount of actual food it was mostly broth with very little meat. At about $25 per plate, we expected much better portions for the amount of money being payed.

NEW Review (9/25/2021): Down from 5 starts to 1 star I didn't want to say it but Vanessa's service and food to go packaging has really gone down hill. The food is still great but let me tell you. My wife and I order to go only from this restaurant and usually eat it in the car under a tree in the Chula Vista Center Parking lot. The problem with Vanessa's is that their to go packaging is so low quality that it sometimes falls apart and the food ends up on my lap. Bear in mind that we order to go from other restaurants and we don't have this issue because packaging is superior and most import

11/16/22 EDIT I have to say that this place was always pricey but it’s now too much. The wait for the food is ridiculous and I’ve decided to find another breakfast place that has better service and prices. We all know why everything went downhill and it’s very sad. OLD REVIEW: The food here is authentic. All my friends love this place. I like it here too. The owner is great, the waitstaff is awesome. HOWEVER imma keep it real. They DO NOT know how to bring out food so it comes out at the same time. They will literally take up to 20 minutes between some plates. This is the only problem here an
