Ok so I went to Friendly’s today for lunch trying to remember my childhood and see if it was the same. It pretty much was. The most enjoyable was the cup of New England clam chowder. Tastes just like I remembered it and was pretty good. My wife got the fishamajig and I got the patty melt, both came with fries. Overall mediocre but a lot of families with young children were coming in for lunch. It’s good to see some of the old s hook chains hanging in there. Nostalgic for me fun for the kids. The plus is you can get a good sundae before you leave for desert.

Used to be a hit when I was little. Has fallen off though in the past few years. Our waitress was patient and kind but that's about it. The place felt and looked kinda gross and the cups were still dirty. I got a burger and "loaded" fries and my wife got a chicken quesadilla, both were disappointing. First of all, her chicken was undercooked and still had pink in the the middle. My burger was just okay and the fries were kinda gross with all the cheap cheese sauce poured over it and it only had like 2 crumbs of bacon but I was still charged an extra $3 or $4 for it. The waitress was phenomenal. Mary Anne was attentive to me and two other tables that walked in at the same time. I asked her about your if you burger day specials, she did point out the red white and blue from the Friendly’s star spangled summer menu. MaryAnne further pointed out the exclusive on the Friendly’s app and it’s exclusive perks. Mary Anne made this former Kingston, NY patron feel welcomed on my way to Lake Placid, NY.
