Fast, friendly service. I was seated quickly. The Eggs Benedict with ham was perfect. The chicken fried steak could use a little more seasoning but was cooked just like home. Hot coffee is always a must.

It’s a comfortable vibe with plenty of seating. I’m from out of town and my first visit. I parked right off Dixie Dr and ended up entering through the back entrance where the to go food is picked up. Oddly enough I had to go the long way around to the dining room. Weird. I enjoyed the lunch (choose 2) chicken salad on croissant / chips & poblano soup. It was good but not amazing. The soup was served tepid. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Restaurant had a country cafe type of vibe with plenty of seating. I’ll visit again though. Maybe I’ll be wowed by the food next time.

This was my first time visiting The Picket Fence, Clute location. The food and staff (Megan) are great! I got to try a variety of appetizers and loved the fried green tomatoes! I ordered the quinoa bowl, it was very good! There's a lunch crowd so plan ahead, I look forward to trying the rest of the menu in the near future. Why did it take us so long to come here? Well, we thought it was too small until we discovered the entrance in the back! Now this place has become a go to for our family! So many great menu options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was a miss but that’s ok because we rarely go out for breakfast. Service is good. There are a couple amazing servers that actually seem happy to be there but you might run into a couple that aren’t very happy. My background in food service has me picky and I expect great customer service if you make the choice to work in the food service industry, especially hosting &
