The fish is unlike anything you get around Kootenia period. Big flaky chunks of lightly tempura fish. The fry’s were crispy with a salty bite. The sauces were fresh and zesty. My 86 year old Mom asked if we have the number to order next Friday. Travis the owner is doing it right!

Run, don’t walk, to Raw Dead Fish in CDA for their new fish & chips! The sushi has always been a hit here, but I was especially impressed with a couple of their newer menu additions. The fish & chips were outstanding—great fresh-tasting cod with a light, crispy batter that wasn’t greasy at all. The tartar sauce, fries, and coleslaw were all solid and complemented the meal perfectly. I also tried the chicken teriyaki, which was very good and packed with flavor. Very good sushi! Coming from Chicago I honestly had low expectations in finding a good sushi place, so when I saw all the good reviews for here I knew I had to check it out. The reviews definitely check out! The ingredients were super fresh, and we devoured all of the sushi in under 10 minutes! The person who took our order was also very friendly and nice. It’s an area of food trucks, so there is a communal sitting area you can sit at to eat if you don’t want to sit in your car or are doing takeout.

I've eaten sushi from coast to coast, and I never thought a food truck could impress me, but wow, this guy’s got it dialed! His setup is stunning, and the sushi is top-notch. He even snips fresh herbs from a garden right in front of his truck. Didn’t catch his name, but trust me, skip the restaurants in Coeur d’Alene and hit this spot for the best sushi, it’s absolutely worth it!
