Love N.C.★★Let me preface this review with we did go on st. Patricks day. Went for lunch..50 minute wait. Thats ok...we wanted an irish pub. The menu was altered for the occasion and very limited. The altered menu was items from their regular menu. $18.50 for fish and chips? 2 small pieces of cod and a small portion of french fries. They even eliminated the coleslaw that you get for the same price any other day. Small portion of sheaperds pie and not good salmon salad. All served in plastic basket and plastic utensils??? All drinks served in plastic. Especially considering all the meals were over $18.00.

The back patio/bar area is perfect and relaxing, with fireplaces (not needed this day!) Excellent service by Maverick! My old fashioneds were so well done, at happy hour price (of $10) and my hubby had the Guinness Zero in cans. I had the fish and chips, some of the best I've had outside the UK and my hubby had the steak salad. Both dishes were excellent. The addition of the Japanese cherry blossoms all around us was magical. A great pub, well attended, with live music. Well

We had usually took the long trek into Charlotte to watch any of the premier league soccer games, but found out our usual spot had been closed down. We decided to try out the harping crown and it was a wonderful discovery! Service was friendly and timely, food was amazing, and the atmosphere made it feel so cozy and most like a true pub. We will definitely be coming back to watch all our games in the future!

They also had a great selection for brunch, including decently priced mimosas! My boyfriend and I were passing through during lunch and decided to try this place. We both agreed that we would go back on our next trip through town.
