We went to Cedar for brunch. Didn't realize until we were sat that they are a scratch kitchen restaurant (homemade fresh ingredients). We ordered The Hangover w/chorizo (had an amazing Creole sauce) and the Greek Chicken Wrap (lemon, pesto w/feta--OMG, so good!!) Great food, great service!! FYI...they have a full bar and nice patio area.

After attending a nearby activity, my wife, daughter, and I found our way to Cedar for dinner. Traditionally a brunch spot, their hours have recently been expanded to offer dinner three nights a week (Thursday - Saturday). We started with the spicy candied sprouts, a wonderful combination of roasted Brussel Sprouts, hot honey, spicy candied bacon, and served with house-made ranch ($11). Cedar is a wonderful spot in Covington for brunch. The scratch kitchen combined with the attention to detail food wise was notable! Make a reservation in advance if grabbing brunch - otherwise anticipate a wait. I’d highly recommend the Brussel Hash, Hangover Bowl, & Chicken & Waffle. All the beverages were great from the Bloody Mary to the Cedar Mimosa. The food was quality, but rather small portions. Had dinner here and loved the food! Scratch kitchen is evident in everything we had. The brussel sprouts were to die for. We tried the chicken and waffles, Fire Bird chicken, Greek chicken wrap, and beignets. Would definitely recommend. The restaurant was beautiful and the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. Service was phenomenal. I sadly forgot her name, but I can't wait to come back and see her again. Highly recommend.
