I spent some time in Denver this past weekend and stopped by The Delectable Egg for a morning meal. The place has a charming, old-school diner feel that makes it a very relaxed spot for a downtown breakfast. We sampled a bit of everything: the Mushroom Eggs Benedict, a Mocha, and Waffles topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Everything was solid and hit the spot, providing that classic comfort food experience you look for in a local staple. While the flavors were more decent than "mind-blowing," it’s a reliable and cozy choice if you’re in the area and craving the basics done right.

Absolute 5 star service from friendly and attentive staff. Had a huge breakfast burrito with the green chili sauce and was happily stuffed after. House coffee is very mild roast. Easy walk from several downtown hotels, so don't pay $30 for a mediocre hotel breakfast.

I really wanted to love The Delectable Egg, because it has all the ingredients of a place that could be truly outstanding. The atmosphere is welcoming, the location is convenient, and most importantly, the staff was genuinely excellent. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a positive attitude, quick service, and a level of attentiveness that you don’t always find anymore. Came here on my Denver Trip on the morning of the Sunday 2nd November 2025. I had the waffle combo with a hot caramel latte and it cost me $28 (about £21.50). The food and drink was really good, very filling which is a good thing! Lovely staff too. Would come back.
