Akebono is an amazing place to eat. We always love the service and food. Staff is so great and always helpful and willing to go above and beyond which is so appreciated. Nick is often our waiter and he is so personable! We’ve started letting staff pick our third sushi roll (because we have to get surf and turf) and they are so respectful of our preferences and ask if there’s anything we don’t like! Our waiter told me his name was Leslie Chow, unsure what it really is but he might have been one of my favorite waiters ever. Food was insane. He just brought out random favorites of his and the food was to die for. 100% will be back because of “Leslie.” So fun made our Sunday funday the greatest. Let's start off with the staff, excellent staff. Friendly, funny, easy to talk to, always with a smile. Customer service on point. They definitely help sell the experience. The food is great. I had the miso and salad which comes standard, both decent. It is nice you get both versus choosing one. My husband and I eat at Akebono at least 2-3 times a month. We almost always get the amaebi and ika nigiri, the Tazmanian roll (a MUST) and the portabello mushroom tempura. The crispy rice roll is also a good one that we like to add to the rotation. If you want the best quality fish, this is where you go. They’re very consistent with their food and hospitality every time!
