I spotted this place while driving to See’s Candies and decided to give it a try, so glad I did. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was on point. We were greeted right away, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming, homey vibe. The menu selection is solid. We ordered the beef gyro and the chicken souvlaki plate. The beef gyro was very tasty, the meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chicken souvlaki was also delicious, but the real standout for me was the hummus. Pita GR is a family-owned Greek restaurant specializing in street food. They have two locations in SoCal: Downey and Brea. My review refers to the Downey restaurant, but I suppose what's served in Brea is exactly the same. Centrally-located near Paramount Blvd., from the outside, it appears to be a small place, but once you've ordered, you gain access to a fairly large dining room.
