Some friends had just wrapped up a full tour of our nation’s capital and we were trying to find a good place to meet up and reconnect. My only requirement was simple: pick somewhere with a jolt of caffeine strong enough to revive a group of people who had spent the day walking Washington, DC. They picked Warka, and that turned out to be an excellent decision. My Americano was absolutely on point. Smooth, bold, and exactly the kind of cup that reminds you why coffee exists in the first place. Meanwhile outside the wind was doing its best impression of a small hurricane, knocking over umbrellas

Everything at Warka worked quickly and efficiently it didn't take long for the line to move and get all orders taken. I ordered a Moroccan Latte 🇲🇦 and the Ethiopian Flight 🇪🇹. First the Latte was delicious! Such a unique taste similar to a Yemeni Latte. The Ethiopian Flight was pure perfection i think the Cortada stole the show for me. I highly recommend both the Latte and the Flight, they also have a Signature Flight with different Lattes you can try. Lastly I had a coffee cake muffin trust me its a great addition to whatever your drinking. As a side note my father had the Avocado Toas

Amazing cafe to kickstart your day! They had a wide variety of croissants, healthy breakfast choices and creative coffee options. The seating inside and outside is perfect for small group sizes (up to 5 or 6). The close proximity to various DC attractions is a plus.

Warka will always be my favorite coffee shop! Gives such an authentic family feel and the coffee is ethically sourced. The coffee tastes incredible and they have so many unique flavors inspired by Ethiopia. I tried the avocado and the salmon toast and both were amazing. The environment is beautiful with lots of light. It’s perfect for catching up with a friend or working. I’m so thrilled that Warka opened and that we have such a high quality coffee shop in the area. The story of the Warka tree is a perfect representation of the experience there. Thank you for always welcoming me with open arms
