The poke bowls are a little pricey but they're very good. The tuna tasted fresh, grab salad, and other items were very flavorful. The Kalua Pig Buns were delicious as well. Staff was friendly. Look forward to trying more items in the future.

I wanted to like this place, especially now that L&L has pulled out of the New York City market, but it's just not very good. Credit where it's due, the appetizers like the Spam Musubi and the pork gyoza are great! Perfectly good. But the main dish, the loco moco, was just dreadful. The beef patties were overcooked into tough leathery pucks, and there was corn and broccoli in there. That stuff doesn't go in loco moco! It's just not done! Everyone was quite pleasant at the restaurant itself, so I can't complain about the service at all, but I just won't be going back. Sorry.

Actually I was so enthusiastic about this place until I experienced so much prejudice. At first I thought it was a language barrier until I found out that they're in the HOOD taking with no giveback. I went to pickup a catering order and asked to use the restroom and was told no. Photo to follow. I explained that I'm picking up a major catering order that was up to $700 and I can't use the restroom? I was incredulous. He insisted that I pay $2.00 like all non-customers. To top it off, the restaurant had me wait almost 2 hours to retrieve the order. This restaurant Makana, unfortunately is not
