Very busy restaurant serving up solid Indian food. I would not say it is spectacular but it can scratch a real itch for medium spice. The mulethi was a nice classic fruit-forward tart gin drink with a cool presentation. The golgappa was fun (it's pani puri for fuschka to me) and I liked the mint chili the most, and this one had a cool presentation too. The murg makhani was decent and the biryani was OK but not as deeply flavored. I think taht's my main critique if I had one: the flavor depth was not as I'd expect, compared to Ishq or Kanyakumari. Went here as a group of five to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and we had a great time! The cocktail menu is wonderfully unique, with hints of Indian spices, they definitely hit the spot. Great service and attentive staff! Food was good, but portions are small. It is extremely busy inside a tight space, so make a reservation. Excellent location as well! Will return to try more of the menu.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that perfectly bridges traditional roots with a modern heartbeat, Jazba in the East Village is a must-visit. This Indian restaurant pays a sophisticated tribute to India’s legendary street food, making it an absolute standout for dinner. To Sip The craft cocktails are a masterclass in balance. I ordered the Mulethi, a gin sour riff with passion fruit and a sweet honeycomb tuile that highlighted the beautiful, earthy aroma of licorice root. My partner chose the Jamun, a vibrant mix of gin, Ume plum, and jamun-berry puree that was incredibly refreshing.
