Finally tried it over here after my boyfriend kept raving about it. I got the spiedissimo, it’s the marinated chicken pieces (spiedies) with fried onions, peppers, and provolone. It was very tasty. The peppers and onions really make it tasty. The bread gets pretty soggy even from just a few minutes and the taste of the bread is pretty generic. The way everyone fusses over spiedies being an “Italian” tradition, yet no one pays attention to the bread in the real Italian way just makes it an ok American sandwich. Will definitely go again. Ordered Greek style chicken spiedie which came on pita bread, and was adorned with lettuce, tomato, onion, feta cheese and tzaziki sauce. Also got a small Caprese salad with spiedie chicken and an order of onion rings. The spiedie pita was amply portioned- there was a large amount of chicken and the pita was fresh and soft. Delicious.
